About the Publisher
Elder LaNita has been ministering to the body of Christ for 17
years. Licensed by Rev. Dr. Robert W. Perry of Union Baptist
Church, Stamford, CT she was consecrated and ordained by
Pastor Aundray Rhodes of New Vision of Life, Compton, CA.
Her ministry started with co-founding Shining Light Ministry.
Thereafter she was instrumental in assisting other churches
form Christ-center substance abuse ministries in the New
England area. She went on to found and publish the Shining
Light Newsletter – which ministered to those incarcerated,
homeless and those in church who struggled with substance
abuse and needed a word of encouragement. The Shining
Light Newsletter, found its way into local prisons, and
churches along the East Coast.

Elder Monroe's ministry experience includes teaching Children, New Members, Baptism, and
Young Adult classes in Connecticut and Los Angeles; and was the Director of Singles Ministry and
Audio Sales at Strait Gate Church under the direction of Bishop Wayne L. Powell. Under the
direction of Rev. Lonnie Dawson, assisted in development and training of ministerial staff.
She has trained at Hartford Seminary's Black Ministries Certificate Program and Fuller Theological
Seminary in Pasadena, CA. A dynamic preacher and conference speaker, Elder Monroe has
traveled and preached throughout the nation.
In 2007 Elder LaNita Monroe sensing God’s calling to deal with the hard issues that face the
church and having a heart for the hurting, disenfranchised and unchurched, Reconciled Magazine
was birthed.
Her ministry is based on 2 Corinthian 5:17-18 where her efforts are focused on the ministry of
reconciliation. Firmly believing that God has called her to be an instrument to reconciliation she
gives tirelessly to mission and efforts of the ministry.
Elder LaNita is married to Gerald Monroe, mother of 2 (Shyla and Jonathan), stepmother of 3
(Allan, Angyl, and Antonio) and a grandmother C'Brina.
